The Nervous System
The brain controls the function of every cell, tissue organ and system in your body. It sends of billions of instructions through the spinal cord out to your nervous system into every organ and tissue in your body. If there is interference somewhere in the spine, this can cause a communication breakdown, poor function and eventually disease and pain.
Chiropractic care is based on the scientific fact that your nervous system controls the function of every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. The central nervous system is encased and protected by the skull and spine. The skull protects your brain and the spinal cord is protected by 24 moving bones.

Chiropractic spinal adjustments help restore the integrity of your spine and nervous system. When your nervous system functions better, it allows the body to express a greater state of health and overall wellbeing.
Your spine can be affected in many ways: poor posture, grief, fear, trauma, stress, improper lifting and repetitive motion, car accidents, external toxins and a poor diet. Many of these activities cause the spinal bones to misalign and lose mobility. This can result in nervous system dysfunction which is known as vertebral subluxation.

Are You in Pain?
People base spinal health on pain. You cannot judge your health by your symptoms. Like tooth decay or cancer, spinal problems can exist without symptoms. Pain is often the last sign to arise, not the first.
Pain or discomfort can be an indication of a poorly functioning spine and nervous system. With chiropractic care, the symptoms can be managed without drugs or surgery.
Symptoms of possible vertebral subluxation:

  • Neck pain
  • Back pain
  • Pain in arms or legs
  • Headaches
  • Migraine
  • Neuralgia
  • Sciatica
  • Ear infections
  • Asthma
  • High Blood Pressure

It is a fundamental law of nature that if you don’t fix a problem or get to the root of the problem, the problem will always become worse. By nature you can’t fix a problem with drugs because it will only mask symptoms while not treating the cause of the problem. We are interested in finding the cause of the problem and fixing it.
